Territorium Online is working in the sector of Geographical Information Systems (GIS) and DBMS client applications and frameworks. The competences are concentrated on analysis, design and implementation of spatial databases, development of GIS applications and map services using web technology.

Territorium Online Ltd. was founded at Bolzano/Italy in 2000 due to the necessity of setting up an expert community of different IT areas. The company is specialized on development of innovative solutions to support administration and integration of GIS and conventional databases. One of our main focuses is the information dissemination via Internet.

We are working in close collaboration with market leaders for GIS and database systems (ESRI USA, ESRI Italia, Oracle, Borland). In this connection we are employing the most progressive technologies for realization of WebGIS, WebDB and GIS-DB applications.

Our approach is the combination of innovative technologies with long standing experiences of our staff in different IT sectors. This allows for development of high-quality, standardized and integrated solutions that keep operational costs low.

Territorium Online has obtained national and international acceptance.
The enterprise was awarded:

• 2002 Palm Springs, USA: „New ESRI Partner of the Year";
• 2002 Rome, Italy: „Best WebGIS supported eGovernment Project";
• 2002 San Diego, USA: second under 41 international candidates in the contest "Best IMS Application";
• 2003 eGovernment Conference Como, Italy: Finalist at the "eEurope-Awards" for Europes best e-Government services .
  The application was selected by the European Institute of Public Administration (EIPA).
• 2004: INSPIRE (Infrastructure for Spatial Information in Europe) Study of Italys GeoData Infrastrukture.

• 2005: the WebGIS-framework "mapaccel" was selected by the BBT SE (ÖBB/RFI) as the infrastructure for the "Geo-Government" of the Brenner Basetunnel Project.
• 2006: highest award in "ebiz egovernment award Tirol 2006" and highest award in "ebiz egovernment award Österreich 2006" with the project "WebGis Kartographisches Portal des Brenner Basistunnelprojekts";
• 2008: ESRI USA writes in the professional journal “GEOconnexion International Magazine” about the adoption of the WebGIS Framework “mapaccel” supporting the project planning of Europa's longest Railwaytunnel, the Brenner Basetunnel (www.geoconnexion.com/uploads/alpineraillink_intv7i2.pdf);
• 2008: Territorium Online wins the tender „WasserSuite“ with his service oriented (SOA) solution based on the two frameworks mapaccel and Dbsnap. The tender contains the implementation of the IT platform covering the entire topic “Water” of the South Tyrolean province governement.

The WebGIS-Framework „mapaccel" developed by Territorium Online is in successful use at several organisations in Italy, Austria, Germany und Croatia.
The  O-O-Framework for Integrated Database Applications „Dbsnap" is revolutionizing in South Tyrol and in Piedmont the developing of that kind of applications.
